I'm currently working with an established California Labor & Employment practice that is looking to add an Employment Litigation Associate to its Los Angeles team. This is a strong opportunity for an attorney who wants genuine litigation responsibility, meaningful trial exposure and direct client contact within a smaller, highly experienced employment practice.

The Role

• Handle California Employment Defense litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs and substantive litigation documents.
• Manage discovery and assist with depositions, hearings, mediations and trial preparation.
• Conduct legal research and contribute to case strategy and litigation planning.
• Advise employer clients on employment-related disputes and issues.
• Take increasing ownership of matters as your experience develops.
• Work directly with senior attorneys and clients throughout the litigation process.
• Gain exposure to employment investigations and counseling matters alongside litigation.
• Trial-focused Employment Litigation practice.

About You

• 4+ years of Employment Litigation experience.
• Defense-side experience preferred; plaintiff-side experience considered.
• Active California Bar admission in good standing.
• Strong litigation, legal research and writing skills.
• Comfortable handling substantive litigation work with increasing autonomy.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Prior law firm experience.

• Downtown Los Angeles, California

Package

• Up to $155,000 base salary, depending on experience and qualifications.
