Property Manager
New York, NY | Full-Time, On-Site | $75,000–$125,000, commensurate with experience
Company DescriptionCanvas Property Group is a full-service Property, Asset, and Construction Management firm based in New York City. Specializing in operational excellence and advanced data analytics, the company is dedicated to delivering best-in-class management services for multifamily portfolios. Canvas Property Group serves both institutional and family office clients, ensuring innovative and efficient property management. Our team is focused on driving value and achieving outstanding results for our clients and their investments.
Role DescriptionCanvas Property Group is seeking a Property Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at a luxury 421-a residential asset in Manhattan, while providing support across additional properties within our portfolio. This role reports to a Team Leader but carries real autonomy over daily site operations, with a clear growth path within the firm as the portfolio expands.
The Property Manager will be the on-site face of a high-touch residential building — managing resident relations to a luxury service standard, lease administration, rent collection, and coordinating maintenance, vendor, and contractor relationships. This role also requires working knowledge of 421-a affordable housing compliance, alongside broader NYC regulatory requirements. The Property Manager will analyze property performance metrics, prepare financial reports, and partner with ownership and the broader operations team to drive portfolio-wide strategy.
Qualifications• Experience managing luxury or high-touch multifamily residential properties, including resident relations, lease administration, and rent collection
• Experience with HPD, DOB, and affordable housing/421-a program compliance strongly preferred
• Knowledge of maintenance coordination and contractor/vendor management
• Strong skills in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Yardi experience strongly preferred; general proficiency in property management software and data analytics tools required
• Previous experience managing multifamily properties required
• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field is advantageous
