Full job description
Our client is looking for a Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and financial performance of a portfolio of properties. This role manages tenant and client relationships, budgets, vendors, building operations, capital projects, and property staff to maximize property value and ensure efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall performance and daily operations of assigned properties.
- Manage tenant, client, vendor, contractor, and other external relationships.
- Develop and implement processes to improve workflow, communication, and productivity.
- Prepare and manage annual operating budgets, expenses, and financial performance.
- Prepare monthly property reports and financial updates for clients.
- Supervise property and operational staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and work assignments.
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, renovations, and building improvements.
- Manage tenant improvement and capital projects, including contractors, bids, budgets, specifications, and project execution.
- Inspect properties and building systems to identify maintenance and operational needs.
- Obtain and evaluate vendor and contractor bids and provide recommendations to clients.
- Oversee leases, rent collection, vendor payments, and property-related financial transactions.
- Coordinate tenant alterations, maintenance, and other services in accordance with leases and management agreements.
- Assist with tenant evictions and other legal/property matters as needed.
- Maintain compliance with applicable regulations and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in property/building management.
- Strong knowledge of property operations, budgeting, vendor management, and capital projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced property management environment.
- California Real Estate Broker or Salesperson License required.
- CPM or RPA designation preferred.
