Senior Accountant

A Leading Services Company located in Monmouth County, NJ is searching for a Senior Accountant who will have the following responsibilities:

• Month-end close process by reviewing balance sheet and income statement accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and recording necessary journal entries.
• Support the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including detailed management reporting packages.
• Prepare and analyze quarterly balance sheet variance reports, highlighting key movements and trends for senior leadership.
• Partner cross-functionally with various business units and locations to address accounting issues, including intercompany activity.
• Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external audit engagements, coordinating documentation and responding to audit requests.
• Review existing accounting processes and internal controls, identifying opportunities to strengthen controls and improve operational efficiency.
• Contribute to financial systems enhancements and process improvement initiatives to improve the timeliness and accuracy of reporting.

Qualified candidates for the Senior Accountant role should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; MBA or CPA a plus
• 3+ years of experience
• Experience with Oracle, SAP, or Hyperion a plus
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills required.

The total compensation range for this opportunity is $95,000 to $105,000 plus bonus with excellent benefits.
