Senior Accountant – Full-Time Engagement Practice (FTEP)

Location: San Mateo & Palo Alto, CA

About the Role:

Robert Half is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Full-Time Engagement Professionals (FTEP) practice. This role is Hybrid the San Mateo & Palo Alto market. This unique role offers the stability of full-time employment with the variety of project-based work across leading companies in the San Mateo and Palo Alto areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit activities
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills. Netsuite, Oracle, SAP ERP system experience preferred
• CPA or CPA candidate a plus
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
