Role Description The Senior Construction Project Manager is a full-time, on-site position based in Walnut Creek, CA. This role oversees multiple commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, coordinating design review, estimating, scheduling, and procurement activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing project budgets and timelines, directing field supervision, running project OAC's and maintaining quality standards for all projects. The Sr PM collaborates closely with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve issues, mitigate risks, and keep projects aligned with contract requirements and company standards. The role also includes preparation of progress reports, change order management, and leading project meetings to ensure clear communication and successful delivery.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Construction Project Management and Construction Management skills, with experience leading commercial projects from planning through closeout.
- Candidates should possess Project Management and Project Coordination skills to effectively organize tasks, resources, schedules, and stakeholder communication.
- Candidates should possess extensive Budgeting skills, including cost estimating, financial tracking, and maintaining projects within approved budgets.
- Extensive experience with commercial construction including tenant improvements, base building upgrades, healthcare, manufacturing, and exterior upgrades.
- Knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and job site safety standards (OSHA compliance and best practices).
- Proficiency in construction project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore or similar platforms).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities, with a team building and inclusive leadership style.
- Ability to mentor and guide project teams, including field supervisors and subcontractors, while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in commercial construction project management at the senior management level.
Compensation
Competitive base salary based on experience. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. Compensation includes multiple bonuses/profit sharing per year, health care benefits, 401K, PTO, and ESOP shares.
