Our client is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Project Manager, to join their Sacramento office. This role is responsible for managing full project lifecycles, from pre-construction through closeout, on a diverse portfolio of projects, particularly Education.


The ideal candidate has strong experience in Education and a multitude of education. They thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing role, bring strong organizational instincts, and have a track record of delivering complex projects on time and on budget.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage end-to-end delivery of projects across the California market
  • Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and subcontractor procurement
  • Serve as the primary client point of contact, maintaining strong relationships with owners, landlords, architects, and retail brand representatives
  • Coordinate design development, permit procurement, and landlord approval processes
  • Track project costs, change orders, and billing to ensure financial performance
  • Collaborate closely with field Superintendents to align on schedule, logistics, and quality expectations
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously across various stages of construction
  • Identify and mitigate risks proactively throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, landlord criteria, and brand standards
  • Support business development efforts through client retention and referral relationships


Qualifications:


  • 4+ years of Project Management experience in commercial construction
  • Proven experience delivering projects in the California market
  • Familiarity with Sacramento permitting processes, landlord coordination, and local subcontractor relationships
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, and construction sequencing
  • Proficiency in project management platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project
  • Experience managing project budgets and
  • subcontractor scopes from bid through closeout
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and client management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
