About the Opportunity
A well-established NYC General Contractor and Construction Management firm is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its growing team.
With decades of experience delivering complex projects throughout New York City, the company has built a strong reputation for quality, repeat business and long-standing client relationships. Its portfolio spans hospitality, commercial interiors, retail, healthcare, institutional, landlord and select ground-up projects.
The company is particularly active in high-end hospitality and restaurant construction, making this an excellent opportunity for a Senior PM with experience delivering complex, finish-intensive projects in NYC.
The Role
The Senior Project Manager will take ownership of projects from preconstruction through completion, working closely with clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors and the internal project team.
You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to a high standard of quality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage projects from preconstruction through final closeout
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
- Manage contracts, procurement, subcontracts and change orders
- Lead coordination between clients, architects, engineers, consultants and subcontractors
- Oversee MEP coordination and complex building systems
- Manage project documentation, RFIs, submittals and approvals
- Monitor project costs and financial performance
- Identify and resolve project issues before they impact schedule or budget
- Lead project meetings and maintain strong client relationships
- Coordinate closely with the Superintendent and field team
- Manage punch list, commissioning and final turnover
- Mentor and support Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers where required

Hospitality projects can involve commercial kitchens, complex MEP systems, structural modifications, custom millwork, specialty finishes, FF&E coordination and challenging NYC logistics.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in construction/project management
- Strong background with a NYC General Contractor, Construction Manager or Developer
- Proven experience managing commercial interiors, hospitality, restaurant or high-end renovation projects
- Experience managing projects through preconstruction, construction and closeout
- Strong understanding of project financials, contracts, scheduling and change management
- Excellent subcontractor and consultant management skills
- Strong MEP coordination experience
- Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced NYC construction environment
Hospitality and restaurant construction experience is strongly preferred.
