Senior Superintendent – Commercial Construction

Location: Chicago, IL

Salary: $150,000 – $180,000

A growing Chicago general contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead complex commercial construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned field leader with a strong background in commercial interiors and high-rise tenant improvements.

Projects span workplace, amenity, retail, hospitality, healthcare, lab & life sciences, and education.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations on multiple projects or complex projects valued at $15M+
• Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout and turnover
• Coordinate subcontractors, scheduling, site logistics, manpower, and deliveries
• Develop and maintain 3-week look-ahead schedules
• Lead weekly foreman and trade partner meetings
• Coordinate sitework, structural work, MEPs, finishes, punch, and turnover
• Maintain strong communication with clients, architects, Project Managers, and trade partners
• Oversee safety, quality control, and schedule performance
• Identify and resolve field issues before they impact project delivery
• Mentor and oversee junior field staff

What We're Looking For

• 10–15+ years of commercial construction experience
• Commercial interiors experience required
• High-rise commercial tenant improvement experience required
• Experience managing $15M+ projects
• Strong knowledge of MEP coordination, finishes, punch, and turnover
• Proven ability to manage Superintendents and field teams
• Strong client-facing communication and leadership skills
• Ground-up and multi-state experience are a plus
