Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Compensation: $60,000–$62,000 per year


Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience processing a high volume of invoices, performing three-way matching, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments.


Responsibilities

  • Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices.
  • Review invoices for proper approvals, coding, and supporting documentation.
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, pricing variances, quantity differences, and payment issues.
  • Process PO and non-PO invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and assist with vendor account reconciliations.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with weekly payment processing, including checks, ACH, and other payment methods.
  • Reconcile Accounts Payable transactions and support month-end close activities.
  • Prepare and post journal entries and accruals as needed.
  • Maintain organized and accurate AP documentation and records.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including Purchasing, Receiving, and Accounting, to resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with process improvements and other accounting projects as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience preferred.
  • Experience processing high-volume invoices in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong experience with three-way matching required.
  • Knowledge of PO and non-PO invoice processing.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to research and resolve discrepancies independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and vendor relationship management skills.
