Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney
Opportunity Summary
Mission Recruiting is representing a confidential Los Angeles plaintiffs' litigation practice seeking a Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney with 2–8 years of civil litigation experience.
This opportunity offers a $180,000–$220,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus a discretionary year-end bonus. The practice handles sophisticated, high-value matters involving catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, serious accidents, and claims involving major institutions and insurers.
Plaintiff-side personal injury experience is preferred, but attorneys with strong insurance defense or medical malpractice defense backgrounds may also be considered.
Compensation
- $180,000–$220,000 base salary, depending on experience
- Discretionary year-end bonus
Location & Work Arrangement
Los Angeles, California
The position is primarily onsite for approximately the first 90 days.
After the initial period, the attorney may have the opportunity to work remotely one to two days per week.

Mission Recruiting's client maintains a sophisticated plaintiffs' litigation practice handling complex, high-value personal injury matters.
The caseload includes catastrophic injury, wrongful death, serious accidents, and claims involving major institutions and insurers.
Attorneys receive substantive litigation responsibility and participate throughout the lifecycle of cases, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, liability and damages analysis, mediation preparation, and trial preparation.
For defense-side litigators interested in transitioning to plaintiffs' work, this opportunity provides a path to apply existing litigation skills within a sophisticated plaintiff-side practice.
Responsibilities
- Manage plaintiff personal injury litigation matters
- Conduct written discovery
- Take and defend depositions
- Draft complaints, pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Evaluate liability and damages
- Analyze evidence and develop case strategy
- Prepare matters for mediation and settlement
- Participate in settlement negotiations as appropriate
- Assist with trial strategy and preparation
- Manage litigation deadlines and case responsibilities
- Collaborate with attorneys and litigation support professionals
Recommended Qualifications
- Active membership in the California Bar
- 2–8 years of civil litigation experience
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Deposition and discovery experience
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to manage substantive litigation responsibilities and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience
- Catastrophic injury experience
- Wrongful death litigation experience
- Significant deposition or motion practice experience
- Mediation and trial preparation experience
Attorneys with insurance defense or medical malpractice defense experience may also be considered.
