About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an attorney who can manage sophisticated litigation and transactional matters while providing practical, business-minded counsel to clients.

The position offers exposure to both contentious and transactional work, including business disputes, real estate matters, contracts, corporate governance, commercial transactions, and complex litigation.

Attorneys will have the opportunity to take meaningful ownership of matters, communicate directly with clients, develop case and transaction strategy, and work closely with partners.

Responsibilities

• Handle business and real estate disputes from pre-litigation through trial, arbitration, mediation, or settlement
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and other litigation filings
• Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive written analysis
• Attend court proceedings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, purchase agreements, leases, operating agreements, corporate governance documents, and related instruments
• Advise clients regarding business formation, corporate governance, commercial transactions, risk management, and real estate matters
• Assist with complex mass tort litigation and other significant disputes
• Communicate directly with clients and provide practical legal guidance
• Develop litigation and transactional strategies while identifying legal and commercial risks
• Independently manage deadlines, deliverables, and assigned matters

Recommended Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing
• 3+ years of relevant legal experience preferred
• Experience or demonstrated interest in business and real estate law
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation abilities
• Experience independently managing matters, deadlines, and client relationships
• Meaningful pre-trial litigation experience
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
• Proactive, solutions-oriented approach to legal work

• Trial experience
• Experience handling both litigation and transactional matters
