URGENT TEMPORARY NEED: GLOBAL PAYROLL MANAGER (Hands On Payroll Manager)
Location: Marina del Rey, CA
Position Type: Temporary / Contract
Work Arrangement: On-site preferred; remote flexibility may be considered for the right candidate
Reporting To: Accounting
Team: Payroll team of 3-6
We are seeking an experienced Global Payroll Manager for an urgent temporary position in Marina del Rey. This role will manage payroll operations for 2,500+ employees across the U.S. and international locations, ensuring payroll is accurate, timely, secure, and compliant with local regulations.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, including strong global payroll leadership within a multinational organization. Responsibilities include managing international payroll providers, overseeing U.S. payroll through ADP, reviewing payroll reports and reconciliations, supporting audits, maintaining payroll controls, and resolving discrepancies.
The position requires strong knowledge of U.S. and international payroll practices, experience with Workday Payroll/HCM and payroll systems, and the ability to manage multiple countries, currencies, pay schedules, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate should be highly organized, analytical, dependable, and comfortable working with HR, Accounting, senior leadership, and external payroll providers while handling confidential employee information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with payroll implementations.
- Experience supporting acquisitions, new entity setup, or payroll provider transitions.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Global Payroll Association certification, or comparable professional credential is a plus.
- Experience working in a multinational organization with complex global payroll requirements.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, highly experienced payroll professional who can step into a complex global payroll environment quickly and provide immediate leadership. This person should be comfortable managing both internal payroll operations and external payroll providers while maintaining a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
