Key Responsibilities
- Process biweekly, semi-monthly, or other scheduled payroll cycles accurately and within established deadlines.
- Review and validate employee timekeeping, attendance, overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and other payroll-related information.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including tax elections, direct deposit information, deductions, garnishments, and benefit-related changes.
- Ensure payroll calculations are accurate and comply with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Process new hires, terminations, salary changes, promotions, transfers, and other employee status changes within payroll systems.
- Reconcile payroll data and payroll-related accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate payroll deductions and contributions for benefits, retirement plans, garnishments, taxes, and other programs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of payroll processing or payroll administration experience.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, wage and hour requirements, tax withholdings, deductions, and payroll controls.
- Experience with payroll and HRIS systems such as ADP, Workday, Paychex, UKG, Ceridian, or similar platforms.
