Production Manager

Location: Moonachie, NJ

J Josephson is looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee manufacturing operations in our gravure printing facility. This role is responsible for managing production performance, employee development, safety, quality, and operational efficiency while ensuring that customer and business objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day production operations for the first shift.
• Ensure that production schedules, quality standards, and delivery commitments are met.
• Manage and develop supervisors, team leaders, and production employees.
• Drive safety initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor production performance, including downtime, scrap, and labor utilization.
• Collaborate with the Quality, Maintenance, Pre-Press, Ink Room, and Lamination teams to support operational success
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process standardization.
• Maintain effective communication across departments and shifts.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience in flexible packaging, gravure printing, flexographic printing, lithographic printing, converting, newspaper/web printing, or related manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Proven track record in leading teams and driving operational performance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with production metrics, scheduling, and continuous improvement initiatives.-
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
