Role Description:

Ulrich, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Drafting & Production Professional to join our in-house production department. This is a full-time, on-site in Ridgewood, NJ, salaried position responsible for producing and engineering detailed CAD drawings for kitchens, bathrooms, and other specialty spaces in our clients’ homes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical drafting skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently translate design concepts into accurate, production-ready drawings and orders.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Producing detailed AutoCAD drawings, including floor plans, electrical and plumbing plans, appliance layouts, plan elevations, tile layouts, and tile elevations.
• Engineering drawings to ensure accuracy, constructability, in coordination with existing site conditions.
• Preparing and placing cabinet orders accurately and efficiently.
• Working extensively with cabinet manufacturers, including Wood-Mode, North American Cabinetry, and our custom cabinet maker.
• Reviewing drawings and orders for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project specifications.
• Collaborating closely with Ulrich’s in-house design and operations teams throughout the production process.
• Guiding junior drafters and share technical knowledge with the broader design team.
• Communicating and coordinating with third-party designers to develop and execute their designs accurately.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with designers, operations staff, vendors, and other project stakeholders are essential. A knowledge of cabinet construction methods, fabrication, and installation techniques is a must. Use of 2020, Advanceware Order Entry, and 3D rendering software would be a bonus.
