Staff Accountant

We're seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing manufacturing organization. This role supports the month-end close process, maintains accurate financial records, and partners with the accounting team on reconciliations, reporting, and audit support. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking to build hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Prepare and post accruals, including payroll, freight, and operating expense accruals
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports
• Track and reconcile fixed assets, including capitalization and depreciation schedules
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes by compiling and analyzing data
• Assist with internal and external audit requests by gathering supporting documentation
• Ensure transactions are properly coded and recorded in the ERP system
• Identify and correct discrepancies in financial records
• Support ad hoc reporting and special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2-4 years of accounting experience with direct involvement in month-end closing
• Working knowledge of journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Epicor, QAD, or similar) preferred
• Proficient in Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
