About the Opportunity

A well established and growing real estate owner and operator is seeking an experienced finance executive to lead its accounting and finance organization. The company owns and operates a diversified real estate portfolio and is focused on operational excellence, disciplined growth, and long term value creation.

This is a highly visible executive leadership role responsible for overseeing accounting, financial reporting, lender and investor reporting, treasury, internal controls, and finance operations. The successful candidate will partner closely with ownership and executive leadership to strengthen financial infrastructure, improve reporting, build a high performing accounting organization, and support the company's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting and finance organization.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Manage property level and ownership entity accounting.
• Strengthen internal controls, financial reporting, and accounting processes.
• Oversee lender reporting, banking relationships, debt compliance, treasury, and refinancing activities.
• Manage investor reporting and cash management.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Support acquisitions, due diligence, and integration of newly acquired assets.
• Build, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning and business initiatives.
• Evaluate systems, workflows, and organizational structure to improve scalability and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Current or recent experience as a Chief Financial Officer, Chief Accounting Officer, Vice President of Finance, Corporate Controller, or similar senior finance executive.
• Significant accounting and finance leadership experience within a real estate owner/operator, property management company, private real estate investment firm, family office, or real estate development organization.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Property accounting
• Entity accounting
• Financial reporting
• Lender reporting
• Investor reporting
• Treasury and cash management
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Internal controls
• Experience leading and developing accounting teams.
• Experience supporting acquisitions, financing transactions, and organizational growth.
• Executive presence with the ability to partner effectively with ownership and senior leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
