Construction Laborer

Position Overview

Papago Management, a commercial property management entity within the Nicholas Family of Companies, is seeking a Construction Laborer to support the success of various projects across its family of companies. This role is responsible for assisting with site preparation, material handling, and performing a variety of general labor duties to help ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and cleaning construction sites daily to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
• Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment as needed
• Assist with the setup and teardown of temporary structures, including fences, scaffolding, and signage
• Manage the distribution and collection of company-owned tools and equipment
• Maintain and inspect company equipment upon return from job sites
• Pick up construction materials, supplies, and equipment from job sites as directed by the site superintendent
• Properly store, secure, and maintain inventory of materials, equipment, tools, and supplies
• Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting, carrying, and general construction duties
• Maintain a valid driver’s license
• Travel between job sites as needed
• Demonstrate flexibility with work hours and days based on project needs
• Report to the site superintendent at the start and end of each day
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the site superintendent and laborer foreman/warehouse manager

Qualifications

• Effective communication with supervisors and team members
• Reliable with consistent attendance
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment
• Comfortable lifting at least 25 pounds on a regular basis
• Strong safety awareness
• Experience operating basic construction tools and machinery, including hand tools, drills, and saws
• Proficiency with computers and company-provided software
