Job opening
Production Manager

Full job description
About the Company
Korpack is on a mission to become North America's premier packaging solutions provider. The person in this seat runs the floor that mission depends on.
About the Role
This is not a role for steady-state operators. Single-product plants where the line runs the same SKU for a month are a different sport — and honestly, an easier one. Korpack is food-grade (SQF) co-packing: up to 18 lines, 120+ people on your shift (Day), new items weekly, frequent changeovers, a temp-heavy labor model, and customers whose launches don't wait. We are hiring a Production Manager who has run large, messy, high-variety plants and made them efficient anyway.
Responsibilities
- Own the Shift
- Output, OEE, quality, and labor cost for up to 120 people across rotating crews, through your Production Supervisors and Line Leads.
- Your crews run a 4-3-3-4 schedule, including weekends; you work Monday–Friday on-site and carry weekend on-call.
- Maximize OEE Where It's Hardest
- Run rates, changeover time, labor efficiency, WO completion — managed in real time, by dashboard, not by feel.
- Changeover discipline is the difference between a good and bad day in co-packing. You drive it.
- Own Labor Cost
- Flex a temp-heavy crew against a variable schedule and deliver output at a labor cost that trends down as a percent of production.
- Kill Barriers
- Staffing gaps, material waits, equipment issues, decision bottlenecks — a line waiting on anything is your problem to kill.
- Daily sync with your shift's Production Control / Materials counterpart — an equal, not a report. The floor makes it; they make it official.
Qualifications
Required — Demonstrated, Not Claimed
- 5+ years of production leadership in packaging, food, or CPG manufacturing, managing supervisors at a plant of 80+ people and multiple lines.
- A labor-cost story you can tell with numbers: what it was, what you changed, what it became.
- An OEE track record: measurable improvement you drove — availability, performance, or quality — and how.
- High-mix / high-variability experience: frequent changeovers, short runs, variable schedules.
- Temp-heavy labor model and food-grade (SQF/GMP) experience.
Preferred
- ERP fluency (Acumatica a plus); bilingual English/Spanish.
Pay range and compensation package
$110,000–$130,000 plus performance bonus. Comprehensive health, dental, vision, life, and LTD benefits; 401(k) with company match; generous PTO. A plant that's doubling, a Director who just joined to build it right, and a seat where operational excellence is visible to everyone — including the CEO.
Equal Opportunity Statement
We're looking for someone who lives our core values every day: D – Determined · I – Innovative · S – Smile · R – Responsive · U – Understanding · P – Proactive · T – Teamwork. DISRUPT isn't a poster in our lobby — it's the bar.
For those who want more than just a job: If you're a barrier-killing, dashboard-driven operator who gets restless when things run too smoothly — we want to hear from you.
