Director, Project Accounting

A luxury residential construction firm in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a Director of Project Accounting to lead a growing accounting function supporting a portfolio of residential projects.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee project accounting for a portfolio of residential construction projects, ensuring accuracy across job costing, billing, and reporting
• Partner closely with the CFO and Business Director of Operations to drive financial visibility across active projects
• Lead and develop an accounting team, ensuring strong controls and process discipline
• Manage month-end close, WIP schedules, and project profitability analysis

Requirements:

• Prior experience in residential or commercial construction accounting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's and/or CPA a strong plus
• Familiarity with Sage Intacct a plus
